Sometimes an education isn't always by the book
"I hadn't exactly repressed the memory, but I had effectively banished it to the very back of the cupboard. It was something I didn't like thinking about, didn't like talking about, saw no point in remembering. It was as if, say, I'd had a nasty car accident as a teenager which entailed many horrible operations but luckily I had made a full recovery so why go back over the gory details?"

Wonderful Tonight
It's late in the evening, she's wondering what clothes to wear. She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair. And then she asks me, "Do I look alright?" And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight." We go to a party and everyone turns to see this beautiful lady that's walking around with me. And then she asks me, "Do you feel alright?" And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight." I feel wonderful because I see the love light in your eyes. And the wonder of it all is that you just don't realize how much I love you. It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head. So I give her the car keys, she helps me to bed. And then I tell her as I turn out the light. I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight. Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."29.8.21

"In the Night World there's this idea called soulmate principle. It says that every person has one soulmate out there, just one. And that person is perfect for you and is your destiny. The problem being that almost nobody ever finds their soulmate, just because of distance. So most people go through their whole lives feeling not complete."

Mrs Peevish asked, her green eyes staring through me.
I said nothing.
"An actress?"
I shook my head.
"A doctor?"
"Nuh, uh," I said.
"A flight attendant?"
"Yuck!" I replied.
"Then what?" she asked, annoyed.
I thought for a moment. "I want to be……"
"Yes?"
"I want to be……a vampire!"

Bright Star
John Keats wrote《Bright Star》in 1819 and revised it in 1820, perhaps on the (final) voyage to Italy. Friends and his doctor had urged him to try a common treatment for tuberculosis, a trip to Italy; however, John Keats was aware that he was dying. Some critics have theorized that this poem was addressed to his fiance, Fanny Brawne, and connect the poem to his May 3, 1818 letter to her. Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors—
No—yet still stedfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever—or else swoon to death.
