This set of photos shows the home decor of Chenxi Wang's house in Pittsburgh. This work was commissioned by Chenxi Wang and done by artist, designer, photographer Gavin Benjamin.

This is the living room. The white couch is Mitchell Gold. Pillows came from Crate and Barrell. The two chairs are museum quality original Hans Wegner chairs. The sisal rug is from Pottery Barn. The living room has largely an off-white, sisal palette, and classic, clean lines. But they threw in some bright color to give it definition and make it fun.

Dining room. The awesome mirror came from the furniture store, Weisshouse, in Pittsburgh. Gavin and Chenxi had the chandelier custom made from a pottery barn shade and a hallogen celing light. The color painted on the wall is Parisian Taupe from the Behr's color series. The orange lamp on the buffet table came from Target; it was Gavin's idea. They initially resisted but gradually warmed up to the lamp. The dining set came from IKEA, however reupholstered all the chairs with brown felt velvelt fabric instead of the original blue. The drapes and rug came from Pottery Barn.

Close up view of the dining room. The chandelier gives a warm glow on the table. Chenxi loves how the soft birch wood color plays off the white lamp shades and the brown/black accents in the room.

They want to guest bedroom to have a zen feeling, so they stick with low furniture such as the futon, the bench and the chair. The art on the wall is original art by Gavin Benjamin. Gavin also designed the wooden bench. The black shag rug came from overstock.com. The mirror was an old Thomasville purchase.

The master bath has rare, original railway tiles and original bath fixtures, all in great shape. The wall color is Provence Creme from Benjamin Moore. They love the warm, bright feeling of this bathroom.

The study continues with the neutral color tone that they love. The pillow cover on the butterfly chair was selected specifically for this purpose. The art on the wall and behind the chair are again original art by Gavin Benjamin. The baskets on the floor are peasant baskets from Vienam. The desk is from IKEA, the lamp from Target.

The study has low white bookcases. The canvas print on top of the bookcase came from Vancouver. The manaquine is Gavin's find. It's amazing what a thorough cleanup of the bookcases can do to the look of the room. Chenxi also loves the vintage photos on the wall!
