前几年的某个夜晚，我忽然被Billie Holiday（1915 －1959）的嗓子所魅惑；从此以后，我人生的大半都伴随着爵士音乐一起度过。年轻时的她，水水嫩嫩的声音，尽情畅快挥洒唱着那时代的swing 爵士。后期的她，身体被毒品腐蚀，声音也搞坏；而我的心和身体却在不知不觉间，渴求她唱出的调子。就像在说，「 好了，没关系，忘掉吧! 」。那不是「愈」。我决不能够被治愈。
如果一定要提出其中一曲的话，我会毫不迟疑地选出【 Lady in Satin 】专辑内的〖 I’m A Fool To Want You 〗。这也是她在踏上不归之途前的最后一张遗作。
